Marketron

Business Situation
Marketron was looking for a disaster recovery solution that could provide both backup and recovery services at their production data center facility as well as replication of data to their remote DR facility. They needed a solution that was not only simple to use and cost effective, but also safe and reliable to protect valuable data.

SonaSafe Solution
By implementing SonaSafe, Marketron automated the process using Standby capability provided by SonaSafe for SQL Server. Using Sonasoft's solution, the customer is automatically updating the remote standby servers every 15 minutes.

Heat and Control

Business Situation
Heat and Control was performing manual backup operation using tapes four times a day. It was a laborious and error-prone process, which was taking an enormous amount of time. Also, because of the manual nature of the entire process, Heat and Control could not backup more frequently. Heat and Control wanted to automate the entire backup process so that they don’t have to spend an enormous amount of time managing the entire process.

SonaSafe Solution
By implementing Sonasoft’s solution, Heat and Control totally eliminated all the manual effort involved in backup and recovery processes. Heat and Control is using SAP R/3 system in conjunction with SQL Servers. The total size of the database is almost 200 GB and using the SonaSafe application, a disk-to-disk backup happens according to a predefined schedule. The data is backed up to tapes for archival purposes once a day.

Ubisoft is a leading producer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products worldwide and has grown considerably through a strong and diversified line-up of products and partnerships. Ubisoft ‘s SQL servers are spread across three cities in three countries, namely, Montreal – Canada, Paris – France and San Francisco – USA. The data was growing rapidly and Ubisoft wanted to have data protection and high availability for SQL servers housing the databases.
