What type of backups and restores are supported?
SonaExchange supports Information Store and brick level backups which provides Exchange Stores and individual items (emails, calendar, contacts etc.) level recovery.
What versions of Microsoft Exchange Server are supported?
SonaExchange supports Microsoft Exchange 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010.
Can I restore public folder item?
SonaExchange can restore and recover public folder stores only. For public folder item restore, Sonasoft has another product called SonaVault which has the capability to restore individual public folder item.
How SonaExchange replicate Microsoft Exchange Server?
SonaExchange uses a unique approach called mailbox level replication to replicate emails from Primary Microsoft Exchange Server to the Standby Exchange Server. Standby mailboxes are created on the Standby Exchange Server. If Primary Microsoft Exchange Server goes down then user’s mailboxes are reconnected to the Standby Microsoft Exchange Server.
How the emails are received once failed over to the Standby Exchange Server?
MX records for both Primary Microsoft Exchange Server and Standby Exchange Server will need to be registered on the DNS Server. Cost for Standby Exchange Server should be lower than the Primary Microsoft Exchange Server.
