Marketron was looking for a disaster recovery solution that could provide both backup and recovery services at their production data center facility as well as replication of data to their remote DR facility. Sonasoft's solution utilizes integrated software and hardware to simplify and automate disk-to-disk backup and recovery via web-based GUI, which can be accessed remotely, thereby lowering DR costs and providing an assurance of successful recovery. The Sonasoft 'Stand-by Solution' aims at keeping a standby, secondary server synchronized with the primary server to provide high availability for vital business operations. The Sonasafe Appliance maintains a redundant, standby server that receives continual data feeds from the primary server, hence in the event of a primary server crash - the standby server could be promoted to a primary status. The mechanism ensures data integrity at all times. The standby server can be maintained on-site or at a remote location as deemed appropriate by business for reasons like hedging against dangers from natural or infrastructural damages.
