Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer (SE) will be supporting Sonasoft's SonaSafe™ Point-Click Recovery™ Suite, a data protection software product line for Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server, and File Systems for our customers and resellers. The SE will be responsible for ensuring that the customer relationship is managed through proactive customer communications, and providing rapid response within estimated response times.
The SE will routinely handle customer issues that arise domestically and internationally. These customer issues will be resolved through providing telephone, e-mail, on-line, and on-site support. These issues often include improper installation, configuration, network issues, assistance with complex product configurations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and customer training on new and existing features.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of internal and external customer support
- Passion for achieving customer satisfaction
- Experience deploying and maintaining Windows Server (2000/2003)
- Experience deploying and maintaining Active Directory (2000/2003)
- Experience deploying and maintaining Exchange Server (2000/2003)
- Experience deploying and maintaining SQL Server (7/2000)
- Experience with Backup and Recovery products
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Proven track record in meeting goals and deadlines
- Demonstrated career stability
- Knowledge of networking
- In-depth understanding of software technology related to customers business needs
- Ability to function well in a start-up environment
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Ability to be flexible and self sufficient
- Good written communication and presentation skills
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and tenacious
- Bachelor's degree
