Ranjit K. Mahanty
Ran Mahanty has more than three decades years of experience in a variety of areas including Corporate Marketing and Research, Management Information Services, Strategic and Mergers & Acquisitions. Ran worked at various management positions in 3M (Europe) operating out of Switzerland / Belgium, from 1971 to 2002.
Following his retirement from 3M in 2002, Ran joined the Engelhorn Family office in London and Switzerland. His mandate was to develop consulting services in India & Agro Business in Africa. Currently he is spending considerable amount of time in private equity and investments for the family both in India and in Europe.
His professional experience also includes positions at UNIVAC division of the Sperry Rand Corporation, FMC Corporation's Central Research Laboratories and Matson Navigation Company.
He holds a BS (San Jose Sate University) in Industrial Engineering and Applied Mathematics, an MBA with a major in Finance and a minor in Marketing (University of San Francisco) and a Masters of Engineering in Operations Research (Pennsylvania State University). He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.
