It has been an exciting year as we have dramatically grown our email archiving business and started our Exchange 2010 professional migration services.

This service will allow IT teams to leverage our nine-years of professional experience with Microsoft Exchange servers and our Microsoft Gold Certified Partner expertise to assist in that one-off upgrade from Exchange Sever 2003 or Exchange Server 2007 to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.  We estimate that the demand  for this service is particularly high since Microsoft will no longer support Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.  Organizations can now get the full performance benefit of a 64 bit Exchange Server from this upgrade.

During this migration, our tech support team works ‘side-by-side’, albeit remotely, and assist from start-to-finish all the steps needed including preparation, installation, and migration.  This will guarantee  IT teams that their data and applications will be transferred seamlessly.

We are very grateful that Sonasoft’s Director of Sales, Mike Khanna, was invited to participate in the California Educational Technology Professionals Association (CETPA ) Conference Session on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 titled, “TCO: Considerations for Technology and Systems Acquisition ”.

This session also featured Sonasoft’s key partner, Chris Beyne, Product Manager, Digital School as well as Brian Dake, Director of Information Technology, Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) . Warren Williams, a former President of CETPA and retired Assistant Superintendent of Information and Technology Services for Grossmont Union High School District in La Mesa, CA will be the session moderator.

One of the highlights of the aforesaid session was when the participants realized the diminishing economic returns that cloud / SaaS after breaking a critical user mass.  At one point, school districts could save significant amounts of money by performing some of their IT services in-house, such as email archiving, provided that they had a reliable and robust solution.

The following day, Thursday, November 10, 2011, Sonasoft was present at the CETPA Exhibit thanks to Sonasoft’s partner and CETPA host, Digital School at CETPA booth no. 425.  It was great to meet so many IT professionals from nationwide school districts and really get to know their needs for email archiving.  It was reassuring to see the interest they had for our email archiving solution with its enterprise features such as monitoring and robust search features as well as our unique feature of multiple domain archiving.  (That is if school districts have two or more domains, as one for administrators, one for teachers, and several different domains per school, our email archiving solution, SonaVault, will be able to archive them all into one easy-to-use archive.)

Many IT Directors were very interested in our Free Email Archiving for School Districts Promotion which will continue until December 15, 2011.

Free Email Archiving for School Districts

This will allow school districts to get compliance early and immediately reap the benefits of email archiving for just pennies on the dollar.  This promotion creates a win-win deal where we are able to give something back to the education sector on a cost basis.

• Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD)
  PVUSD was able to scale up its MS Exchange mail servers through SonaVault, email archiving solution.  Prior to installation, it could only keep the emails for about a week.  After installation of our email archiving solution, PVUSD could keep all the emails and allow its users to access them.
• Napa County Office of Education (NCOE)
  Napa County Office of Education needed to an email archiving solution to meet its eDiscovery and litigation needs.  After installing our email archiving solution, it was able to assist it’s legal department and thwart unfair judgments.  In addition, the our email archiving solution allowed its end users to access old calendar items as well as the emails.  This freed resources on the exchange server and left the end users satisfied.

Although we predict that all 25 allocated slots will be filled, we will be ending this promotion on December 15, 2011.
