We, at Sonasoft, would like to wish everyone a very safe and joyful holiday season for 2012.
We have seen another exciting year pass, one that positions Sonasoft for unprecedented growth in its email archiving business. We have launched two email archiving appliances and expanded into some new verticals while strengthening our customer base.
With forward momentum, we look foward to 2013.
Wishing everyone a happy holidays and a glorious new year – 2013.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there’s some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

A few weeks back, Sonasoft launched its new SonaVault Email Archiving Appliance powered by Rorke Hardware and Microsoft Windows Server 2012. We’re exceptionally exciting about this launch for we offer a product that is close in price to Barracuda Networks’ Message Archiver, but is far superior in quality and functionality. Just like our SonaVault Email Archiving Appliance featuring DELL servers, our new appliance is Windows-based, comes with a license of Microsoft SQL Server to power the data stores, and can expand both storage and mailbox licenses instantaneously. This is in contrast to Barracuda’s Message Archiver that locks its customers into fixed internal storage and the maximum number of mailboxes licenses. If a company invested in a Barracuda appliance, and expands quickly, they are screwed. With Sonasoft’s email archiving appliances, a growing enterprise can relax knowing that its IT investment is good for the life of the server.
With our new SonaVault Email Archiving Appliance powered by Galaxy, we have several new enhancements. First, it will be powered by Microsoft Windows Server 2012. Sonasoft will make good use the new technology such as Microsoft Storage Pools to enhance our product. With Microsoft Storage Pools, adding additional drives and redundancy is exceptionally easy and will eventually replace RAID technology. (But, don’t worry, all our email archiving appliances come with RAID 5 at no extra cost.)
Other hardware features includes an Intel chassis as well as a solid state drive for the Microsoft Windows 2012, SonaVault email archiving application, Microsoft SQL Server, etc. Having the OS and all the applications on a drive that ‘does not spin’ allows for incredibly fast boot times and immediate access.
Of course, our SonaVault Email Archiving Software is also included. We’re the only archiving software that allows for multiple domain to be stored in a single archive as well as reduce the size of an Exchange Server up to 80 percent through Sonasoft’s true stubbing technology. No other email archiving solution can match this benchmark.
All new product launches are exciting and require a lot of work before we can hit the ‘go’ button. Our web team has been surgically focused to help prepare for this launch. It created a product page:
Email Archiving Appliance powered by Rorke and Microsoft Windows Server 2012
and a press release:
New Email Archiving Appliance by Sonasoft and Powered by Rorke and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 to Compete Against Barracuda Networks’ Message Archiver (on sonasoft.com)
We also enlisted the help of our whole team and produced a video, which highlights our SonaVault Email Archiving Solutions through our new email archiving appliance. Here it is:
SonaVault Email Archiving Appliance powered by Rorke and Microsoft Windows Server 2012
Finally, no launch would be complete without a new Twitter handle, “EmailArchiving_“. Twitter helps spread the word and increase our SEO efforts.
We are now approaching 2,000 followers and have gotten some traction on Twitter searches. A modest start to build on.
Thanks to all for your support. We’ll be giving more updates as they come.
